Version 2.7 of TagMyDoc is now available We are thrilled to announce that version 2.7 of TagMyDoc is now available to all our users. Labels make search and consultation easier One of the main updates in this version is the new Labels feature. What are labels and how to use them?  Labels are statuses, properties, and attributes that can be added to files, secure spaces, folders and messages. They are only visible to internal members inside the organization that assigns them. For a given file, it is possible for an organization X to add labels, and for an organization Y to do the same without these being visible to the internal members of the other organization. This facilitates collaboration within a team. It is also possible for anyone within the organization to add, edit or remove a label. Users also have the ability to do a search by label. Note   : The Label feature is only available to users with a trial period or a paid account. Start a free trial today!  Don’...

Better Than Email

Better Than Email. So many of us spend much of our working days writing, reading, or responding to emails. Since Ray Tomlinson sent the first email all the way back in 1971 (51 years ago!), it has become the most common business communication tool. It is estimated that in 2022 over 333 billion emails are sent every single day. That means about 3.5 million emails are sent every second! The pain is real Of course, not all of those 333 billion daily emails are legitimate; it’s estimated that about 85% is spam and 3.4 billion are phishing attempts (emails trying to steal credentials from you or deliver malware to your computer).  Since very few users adopt best practices when it comes to cybersecurity, it’s no surprise that Business Email Compromise happens so frequently. In the last month alone, I have been made aware of 3 local organizations that have had accounts compromised – their credentials were leaked, somehow, and cybercriminals were able to get into their accounts. It’s no wo...

Your data. Your privacy.

This is important. You probably noticed lately in medias that uncomfortable news came to light about the processing of confidential data. Firstly, an article in La Presse raised the sale of medical records containing sensitive data belonging to patients. All the details here. In the same vein, on the tv show "Tout le monde en parle" on Sunday, March 11, 2018, the talk was about ways to make profits from the confidential data circulating on the web. More details here. More recently, the Cambridge Analytica saga. More details here. Things that aroused me Just the logic that must be advocated seems very rarely respected. By cons, I like to believe that we are the owner of our confidential data on the internet. Following these recent events, I would like to clarify the vision of TagMyDoc regarding this issue. TagMyDoc is a professional platform for communicating files and confidential messages. Like all companies, we aim for growth in revenue, but here I am, I take thi...
