Deployment Guide: Installing the Convoflo Add-In for Outlook Classic
For professional service firms using the classic version of Outlook, installing your secure messaging tool is easily done using a local configuration file.
Why a manual installation?
To deliver maximum fluidity while respecting the strict security policies of your infrastructure, the Convoflo add-in for Outlook Classic is deployed via a secure manifest file (.xml) instead of the public Microsoft AppSource store. This method guarantees complete control over the integration within your environment.

Deployment Prerequisites
Before starting the integration within your desktop software, make sure you have the following configuration items on hand:
- The Convoflo manifest file (a document in
.xmlformat) provided by our technical team. - A classic Outlook desktop application active on your Windows or Mac computer (please note that this integration is not compatible with Outlook 2016 and older versions).
- Your active login credentials for your Convoflo account.
1. Access Outlook Add-ins
Open your Outlook Classic desktop application. In the top navigation ribbon (under the Home tab), click the Get Add-ins button. A Microsoft pop-up window will open on your screen.
2. Upload the Manifest File (.xml)
In the left-hand menu of the window that just appeared, select the My Add-ins section. Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the right page until you reach the Custom Add-ins section.
Click the + Add a custom add-in drop-down link and choose Add from file.... Next, select the Convoflo XML file downloaded onto your computer and confirm the installation.
3. Activation and First Login
Once the file is loaded, the add-in will activate instantly. When you write a new email or select a received message, the Secure with Convoflo button will appear in your Outlook tool pane. Simply log in for the first time using your Convoflo credentials to securely link your inbox to your client spaces.
